The 3M™ Textool™ BGA Open-Top Socket design
accommodates a wide range of package
thicknesses without requiring socket
adaptations and allows excellent air flow
around devices. The socket includes a
retractable locating guide for easy board
mounting.
3M™ Textool™ BGA/LGA Sockets come in a 1.00
mm., 1.27 mm. or 1.50 mm. pitch and have a
versatile product design including four
product platforms enabling quick-turn and
low-cost proliferation of new sizes.
3M™ Textool™ DIP Sockets and Receptacles are
for DIP's with .100 in. lead spacing, and
with pin counts of 14 to 64. The sockets
possess a lever actuated zero insertion
force mechanism.
3M™ Textool™ LCC Sockets have a lidded style
socket that provides consistent normal force
on contact pads for maximum electrical
reliability. They have compliant lids with
either plastic pressure pad or metal W
spring, and come in three sizes.
3M™ Textool™ PGA/Interstitial/SPGA Sockets
come in .100 in. or .050 in. lead spacing
and have a rugged three plate construction
for durability and electrical reliability
with a lever which actuates a zero insertion
force contact.
3M™ Textool™ PLCC Sockets are lidded style
sockets assuring consistent normal force and
alignment ribs fit between J-leads to assure
proper registration, they are available in
small, medium, and large.
The SOIC Lidded Sockets are for device
widths of .150 in., .300 in., .330 in. and
can be actuated from top or front and are
compatible with automated equipment. The
socket has a tweezer slot for easy manual
loading/unloading. Lead counts from 8 - 28.
3M™ Textool™ Strip Sockets have a lever
actuated zero insertion force mechanism, and
are frequently used in pairs to handle any
non-standard flat pack with leads on varying
centers and staggered leads on opposite
sides of the package.
